Broadcom Inc. (AVGO) unveiled its Brocade X8 Directors and Brocade G820 56-port switch, marking the debut of 128G Fibre Channel technology tailored for AI-driven data centers. The Gen 8 platforms integrate quantum-resistant 256-bit encryption, addressing both performance scalability and post-quantum cybersecurity threats.
Dell, HPE, and IBM are among OEM partners slated to ship the hardware in coming quarters.
